David’s forthcoming speaking engagements include:
- He is in New York on the 4 February at the Executive Coaching Conference where he is delivering a session on the Pros and Cons of Virtual Coaching and Mentoring.
- March sees him at the NHS/EMCC Conference in Manchester.
- April he is in Turkey at a Management Conference and at the CIPD - HRD 2010 Conference in London
- May is the Annual UK EMCC Conference and David will be talking on Creating a coaching climate in work teams
Research
David maintains a constant stream of research projects in management. Projects for 2009 include:
- Survey for European Foundation for Management Development and European Mentoring and Coaching Council on the state of in-company coaching and mentoring.
- Developmental conversations at the top: Survey, with Ashridge, Career Innovations and the Talent Foundation. Due to be published in January 2010
- How goals evolve in coaching: Project with David Megginson for the EMCC. Due to be published Autumn 2010
- Succession planning and the generation gap: survey comparing expectations of succession planning by babyboomers, Generations X & Millenials. Due to be published February 2010
- Literature survey and interviews with HR professionals internationally around good practice in succession planning.
Coaching and coach supervision

He is particularly drawn to clients, who are engaged in major strategic or cultural change for their organisations and who wish to achieve commensurate change in themselves. He is one of only a small number of supervisors internationally, who have a formal qualification in this specific role. Working with Boards and top teams
David designed and facilitated the National School of Government’s Stepping Up to the Board and Board assessment/ development planning. He has written and researched widely in effective Board/ top team behaviours and into the quality of Board/ top team dialogue. He is currently researching top team developmental conversations.
