It is proposed that existing advisors will be required to achieve the level 4 qualification by the end of 2012. New advisers will fall under this requirement from 2010.

Given the timescales it is essential that you do not delay achieving this qualification and this workshop is designed to support you with J06 Investment principles, markets and environment, a unit towards the Diploma in Financial Planning, an approved level 4 qualification through the CII.

The revision workshop is designed to build on the study manual to provide additional support, exam techniques and a greater understanding to help you pass your exam. We achieve this through group and individual activities, multi-choice questions, short answer questions, mock exams. All activities on the workshop are debriefed by the trainer to aid learning. Our aim is that everything we cover on the workshop will enhance your understanding and place you in a greater position to take your exam.

The workshops are run by professional financial planning trainers who understand the importance of your job and the challenges and difficulties you can face with the continued requirements to demonstrate your professionalism.

Course Objectives

There are two key objectives which will depend on your own learning style and ability:

Leave the workshop feeling ready to sit the exam the next day.
Leave the workshop having pin pointed the exact areas you need to work on to take your exam to aid your final study time.

Course Agenda

A variety of exercises are incorporated into the workshop to ensure the key syllabus areas are covered.

Multi-Choice and short answer Questions
Questions asked in different ways to help remember key and important information from the module. Exam based short answer questions undertaken to practice how to deal with these questions in preparation for the exam and enhance learning and understanding of the study material.

Mock Exams
Mock exams will be completed during the workshop, with answers being provided to assess whether you would have achieved a pass or not. This will enable you to understand where your weaknesses are to work on and place you in exam mode so you will be ready for the real one.

Trainer Support
Throughout every activity on the workshop the trainer will be on hand to provide support, deal with questions and ensure each activity is debriefed, not moving on until all individuals understand the area being discussed.

Exam Technique
This is being achieved throughout the two days via the activities that have been specially designed to aid your learning.
