Coaching Supervision: Supervision Integration

This module enables participants to integrate and synthesise their learning from the previous modules, their supervision practice and supervision of supervision.

Course Objectives

By participating on this module, participants will be able to:

  • Provide a high standard of supervision in a practice situation
  • Provide value adding feedback to fellow participants
  • Determine appropriate ethical responses to ethical dilemmas
  • Co-design and co-present a seminar on an aspect of advanced supervision
  • Critically review their supervision practice and capability through self, supervisee, peer and tutor feedback
  • Critically review their learning to date and formulate a development plan for their ongoing supervisory development

Students completing this module are given the opportunity to:

  • Provide supervision for a peer from the programme and receive feedback from another peer
  • Use interpersonal process recall to deal with difficult situations and to review self and peer supervision practice
  • Design and co-present a seminar on an aspect of advanced supervision
