This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary for assurance and verification of GHG emissions for the purpose of emissions accounting, reporting and trading schemes.

As more governments implement mandatory emissions reporting and trading schemes; and as more organizations become aware of the benefits of accounting for their carbon emissions, the skills of auditors will become more and more necessary to deliver the high levels of assurance required to ensure that decisions are made on the basis of robust data and to provide comfort to external users of emissions data such as investors, regulators or buyers and sellers of emissions credits where emissions data is used for these purposes.
