GHG Training Program for Verifiers

With movement towards a carbon-constrained world, there is a growing interest in understanding and accounting for greenhouse gas emissions as a means of feeding robust information into policy and decision making processes. In North America, California has been leading the way towards formal accounting and reporting; with the passing of the Global Warming Solutions Act in 2006 (Assembly Bill 32), the Air Resources Board has been mandated to implement a regulatory reporting program applicable to key sectors and facilities with significant combustions sources. This includes a requirement for independent verification of reported data in order to provide confidence in the reports provided by organisations to the government.

Green Your Bid - Dealing with Sustainability Procurement and Winning Business

To win new business now and into the future, your business needs to establish its sustainability credentials. More and more to win new contracts your business will need to include sustainability related information in the bidding process. Companies that can demonstrate they are moving forward in a positive way, reducing negative impacts on the environment, increasing positive impacts on society and communities, and continually economically viable, are the companies that win more contracts.

If you cannot produce sustainability information show you’re moving forward, and your competitors can can, then it reflects unfavorably on your business, which appears to be unaware of negative impacts on the environment, how it impacts on society, and how it proposes to stay economically viable into the future.
