December 2010 Training Courses

The Stern report recommends carbon pricing as an important market tool to reduce carbon emissions. Putting a price to carbon allows organisations to incorporate carbon emissions in cost benefit analysis and impact assessment. This course explains the key principles behind carbon pricing and demonstrates with practical examples how it can be incorporated into decision making.

An intensive course introducing the concept of carbon accounting, why it is powerful and how it should be undertaken using the latest footprinting methodologies. Includes coverage of GHG Reporting Protocol, ISO 14064 and PAS 2050. Delegates have the opportunity to undertake sample footprint calculations during the training.

Many organisations have commitments to sustainability but struggle to implement change internally. The course aims to bridge this gap by equipping delegates to effectively communicate and implement sustainability solutions to audiences ranging from the boardroom to the shopfloor, from the media to the general public.

With the advent of PAS2050 - the first attempt by a major institute to provide a product footprinting standard - organisations are increasingly asking us how they can undertake these complex analyses effectively. This course is aimed at organisations interested in commissioning a footprint study - but who also want to understand the risks of such a venture before committing precious resources.
