Gemma Brain

Gemma Brain

Gemma Brain is a Senior Project Manager at General Physics UK Ltd. Having graduated with a BA Modern Languages Degree in French and German at Coventry University, her career began in translation on a freelance basis whilst working for a computer games company assisting in games translation and foreign language customer support. She has worked with GP for 5 years within the Training Outsourcing area of the business and works with many of our international clients on a daily basis supporting clients' Learning and Development needs in terms of scheduling, administration, evaluation and attendance reporting, bespoke training requests, Training consultancy and Training Needs Analysis. Her main interests include travelling and learning different cultures and languages. She also loves to dance particularly Salsa, Reggaeton and is currently learning Capoeira.

David Clutterbuck is one of Europe's foremost writers and thinkers on management. He is author or co-author of nearly 50 books, including best-sellers on business excellence, coaching and mentoring (and one book of children's stories). He is visiting professor on the coaching and mentoring faculties of both Oxford Brookes and Sheffield Hallam Universities and a co-founder of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, for which he is a lifetime ambassador. His research and consultancy is at the leading edge of a wide range of topics relating to learning dialogue and includes work-life balance, team coaching and top team development. For more than 20 years, he has learned a new sport every year -- in 2007, he learned mountaineering and scaled the remote Mount Clutterbuck in Canada.

Clutterbuck - Managing Partner

Liz has worked in the HR Consulting and coaching space for the last 10 years – working in corporate roles at KPMG, KPMG Consulting, CMC and most recently before joining Clutterbuck Associates was Global Head of Coaching at HSBC.

Working to define and implement HSBC’s coaching strategy was a key focus in addition to carrying out a global review of their external coaches and practices. Liz also led a significant Coach Assessment Programme to identify, assess and onboard current and prospective coaches for HSBC. Carrying out research into the coaching market, industry standards and corporate needs this enabled the design and implementation of an assessment programme for 304 coaches. Whilst at HSBC Liz also worked across the global businesses to define and implement mentoring programmes in line with specific business line requirements.

Liz has a strong interest in global corporate coaching standards and trends and how organisations and individuals maximise the impacts of coaching interventions.

Her main interests include travelling, especially when it incorporates her passions for road cycling, mountain biking, tennis and windsurfing! Liz is also a foodie and is currently writing a cookbook.

Darren McGrath

Learning and Development Director

An honours graduate in Business Management Darren started his career working within the publishing and events industry. His passion for people development and organisational change soon led him into Learning and Development .During his time in the training industry he has developed and delivered a number of innovative learning and development interventions across the globe for organisations in a variety of industries. He spent a number of years working with one of the world’s leading independent IT and Management training organisations and before joining the GP team he was a director of a sales and management training organisation. Darren has extensive experience of sales, management, leadership and personal development training interventions and he plays a pivotal role in developing and delivering training courses within a variety of industry sectors. In 2009 Darren won the coveted award as “The One to Watch” at an industry awards ceremony at London’s 02 Arena.

Sarah joined General Physics (UK) Limited eight years ago, following fifteen year in the travel industry. She manages the administration for the Private Sector Operations Business Unit.

She enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.

Starting his working life as an aircraft Engineer and transitioning into learning and development 20 years ago. Tony leads the GP team in EMEA,

Main areas of expertise are in learning needs analysis, technical consulting and in developing learning and development models, solutions and services in the Training Outsourcing arena.

Marketing Manager – General Physics (UK) Ltd

Leanne graduated in Fashion, Textiles and Technology from Nottingham Trent University, her career began working for a large fashion retailer as a Creative Project Coordinator working across all channels to market.  After taking some time to travel and work abroad, she returned to continue in marketing as a freelancer. She worked with a variety of businesses ranging from an exclusive jewelry brand to an established animal charity. Her broad knowledge of e-marketing came from working for a brand new online start up for over 2 years. Her interests are Capoeria, travelling, vintage clothing and antiques; she loves design and enjoys learning about new trends.
